Asam Mo Far Kor

I am sorry coz i havent answered ur comments in my previous entry. I will try to tonite.. am in a rush...the bed will be coming today insyaAllah..loads of things to do.. n halil will be using the pc the whole day..so i cant really blog...so basically on monday n tuesday.. i will be busy...

One question that arised from the last entry was... What is Asam Mo Far Ko? is it Asam tahi hidung..?? i think asam tahi hidung is a different asam.. i used to love asam tahi hidung as well... next to asam ko of course..

For all non malaysians, u may not now what is asam.. well..asam is a term we malaysians use to refer to salty sweetened preserved fruits... like plum...It is also famous in china as well...i suspect it may originate from china...but then i am assuming...will do some research on it when i have the time...asam.. is a fav in my family...

What is my favourite Asam Mo Far ko?? Here it is...infront there is this picture of this guy...i suspect the founder of this asam... The ingredients are sugar, salt, liquorice, acid, preservative fruit. Which fruit? i think here it is sliced dried papaya.It looks like shriveled up little scabs. They taste like salty-sweet (but mostly salty) bits of soft leather...n the last i discovered, they have added the ginger mo far kor as well!! That is my fav as well now!! the ginger is a bit hot to some though...

I hope i have answered ur speculations about my asam mo far kor..one packet is sold for 1 ringgit i think..
