The bee..
Staying in Sapanca meant having to co habit with nature.. to be able to enjoy the green life has to offer.. the birds chirping to different sounds.. the squirrels stealing the hazelnuts from the trees...the mosquitoes.. the bees...the lot..
It was the bees of Sapanca that actually caught my attention... they r no human shy definitely... i can still remember how many of them (as well as other flying insects) shared our swimming pool to cool down their body from the heat of the day (and most probably drowned themselves n it).. or how many times the bees flew above our heads while we were in the pool that more often than not, baddin or hatice or i kept having to shriek *duck into the water* in turkish....
but it was with great suprise that i discover that everytime it was lunchtime..everytime i tried to feed my kids... a bee would without fail fly around us.. not to bite as bees normally would.. but just to hang around...was it the fresh fruit cocktail that i always feed my kids attracted the bee? it is possible... in fact, that was what i thought until...as one day as i was feeding baddin soup... this one bee flew right into baddin's bowl of soup !! hahahahah

Hi Simah, wa..the bees in your country very friendly, huh? Here the country is on standy for those 'Killer bees' that with one sting its game over. They from South America I think and now in US and slowly coming North to Canada.
Talking about bees, I remember my very young days staying in Lower Ampang, KL near the tin mines, lots of jungle and bushes then. (1955)
One day my friends and I out hunting for squirrels with our catapaults saw a huge bees nest on a tree and not knowing any better shot at the nest.
The next thing we know was thousands of bees came like Kamikaze at us, we broke the Olympic record for running, two of us got stung, then took a running dive into a mining pool, head first to escape the bees.
Fortunately the four of us could swim and we stayed underwater for couple of minutes till the bees flew off.
That was a very bad lesson we learned, ha ha.
Balek rumah we gave our mothers a shock seeing all of us wet! But dared not mention about the bees. Ha ha. UL.
simah u.lee is right here in sg pun bees really chase u and kiss u all over had few episodes of ppl being stung by bees.

sapanca is beautiful coz it is green.. the nature is still somehow preserved...
kat sini sekarang musim panas sepanans panasnya (38 degree celcius yesterday)...
tapi kalau kat sapanca house because ruah tu atas bukit n pokok kiri kanan, we all tak terasa panasnya...even kalau terasa panas, we all can always jump masuk pool yg kat garden tu... cant wait to go there again this saturday... istanbul is tooo hot.. we anly have the bathtub at home...
